Let's face it: Shipping sucks. It's slow, it's expensive, and sometimes things get lost. There's ways around the slow and the loss if you want to throw money at them, but throwing money at expensive is, to say the least, unhelpful. The worst is when you want to buy something inexpensive and the shipping costs as much as, or more than, the item itself! I know I've bit the bullet and paid anyways, likely often more than I should, but I've also bailed on purchases because I just couldn't bring myself to pay 125% of the purchase price in shipping.
With that in mind, I'm happy to announce that we have a new shipping option. I like to think of it as All The Free Shipping, because that's what it is: totally free. It shows up during checkout no matter how much you're buying. Obviously I'd appreciate it if you ordered at least a few dollars of stuff so that we're not straight up losing money mailing you your stuff, but if that's what you need then so be it - order away. You went through the trouble to come to us for what you need, we're going to reciprocate and mail your stuff out.
This is not now, nor will it ever be, the default shipping option. The default's going to stay the way it is, because All The Free Shipping has certain limitations. Foremost among those is a lack of tracking - we can't do it, so if you want to know where your order is and when to expect it, stick with one of the other shipping options. That's not the only one, and you'll see a link to the details thereof while looking at your cart (or by going over here).
No matter what shipping option you choose, we're still going to do what it takes to protect your order. The minimum you can expect is one or more sleeves, toploader(s), and tape, along with various handy-dandy printed materials. If it takes more than that to contain the sheer awesomeness that is your order, that's fine, we're used to it. But don't for a second think you're going to get a loose card in an envelope (don't laugh, I've seen it from vendors who shall remain nameless).
We want you to be, at a minimum, very pleased with your experience shopping (and shipping) with AllTheMTG. Downright ecstatic would of course be better, so that's what we're going to work towards. I hope this is a step along that path that some of you will choose when it fits your needs. If for any reason you're ever anything less than pleased, or you think of something we can to do help us bring you closer to shopping rapture, drop us a line and let us know. We're striving towards awesome, and we couldn't do it without you.
Thank you for your patronage, and we all look forward to continuing to supply you with that sweet, sweet cardboard.

A few months ago we decided to run an awesome giveaway. The original intent was for the grand prize to be a playset of Beta Lightning Bolts. Time passed, as it has a way of doing, and the MTGShops hosting platform kept growing more and more awesome. The time never seemed right to give away the bolts, and so they sat. All the while, the Modern Masters release date was creeping along, getting ever closer, and the frenzy was mounting. When I was finally able to get my allocation confirmed, I decided that the best way to dispose of one of the boxes was to simply give it away.
The giveaway was promoted in every way I could, to entice as many people as possible to enter. We even ran paid online advertisements to bring it to as many eyeballs as possible. In the end, over 500 entries were earned in various ways, and the time comes to perform the drawing.
The winner is... Anthony Miller, entering via Facebook! Anthony, you have until 10:25 P.M. Eastern time Monday, June 10th 2013 to claim your prize. If the prize is not claimed by exactly that time we will re-draw and announce another winner. So, if you know Anthony, let him know he should check his Facebook messages. Either way, keep your eye on this spot to see if we'll be drawing another winner - it could be you!
